When people find out that you do magic tricks or that you are a magician, many of those people are quietly interested in what it would be like to be a magician. From the outside it can all seem very secret and mysterious. Of course we know better than that, that it’s all just technique and presentation and misdirection.
You should capitalise on the fact that people wonder about the secerts of magic so anytime that you agree to teach them one of magic’s big principles they will usually be very keen to learn.
This trick teaches the audience a lesson in misdirection by actually letting them misdirect themselves. That doesn’t make a lot of sense in writing but when you watch the video it is clear.
One thing I didn’t make clear as I plum forgot to say it during the recording was that you must set up the premise of the trick by giving an explanation of what misdirection is. Though it is actually not that straightforward, for the purposes of presenting this trick you can just say misdirection is getting your audience to look somewhere other than where you are doing the sneaky business. Follow the link above to my webpage for this magic video and it explains further the categories misdirection falls under.
You will also need to force a card on your audience. This is simply making them take the playing card you WANT them to take. Use your favourite card force or learn one of the easy card forces I offer. The links to videos are at my website too.

Julian is a professional magician and family guy. He doesn’t do magic like Criss Angel and David Blaine. Why? Here’s the secret they don’t like you to know. Their cool magic is only for TV and YouTube. True. Their street magic scares people off in the real world. It’s fun to watch but remember they create illusions.
I’ll help you take beginner magic tricks (or all the legend cool tricks you have learnt on YouTube) and turn them into something you can use to make people laugh.
You can even make money as a magician. The secret is to be likeable and smile.
